Here are a few recently completed projects. I’d love to know your thoughts. Find me on Facebook (Mihi Designs). As always, if you are interested in ordering or have questions, email me at adam@mihidesigns.com Thanks!
I’m back! Kinda…
So, work has been busy enough (good problem to have) that it has limited the amount of time I have been able to devote to Mihi Designs, thus the lack of updated pictures. Here are a couple of projects that I was able to finish. One is a monogram I did for friends of mine that just moved into their new house. The second I did for my friend Quinton Dial. He is plays football for Alabama. He asked me to make him the “A” logo for his dorm. With the help of some friends (and some internet searches), I was able to get enough pictures to decoupage onto the base piece of wood and fix the “A” above it. I was excited to finish this one! He was super surprised when he got it yesterday. Love to know your thoughts.
Thanks!

Back to it!
Well, it seemed like forever, but I received the “all clear” from my final collar bone xray! I am super pumped about getting back to normal. I already have quite a few cross and monogram orders to start! I should have new pictures to post shortly! Thanks for your patience! Have a great day!

Evil Kinevil is messing with my blog progress!
So along with house design and woodworking, another love of mine is mountain biking. I rode all of the time as a kid. A few years ago, I borrowed a bike from a friend and I was hooked again. I primarily ride in Trussville since the trails are about 5 minutes from my house. Occasionally we head over to Oak Mountain for our “long” rides. I headed over there last week with a couple of buddies after a design consultation for an afternoon ride. The main intent of the ride was to show them the newly opened “Flow Trail”(official name TBD). We decided to take a warm up ride around the Lake Trail(very easy beginner trail, to help for those unfamiliar). As we are nearing the end of the lake trail and are about to head over to the flow trail, I decided to try a jump I had seen on a previous ride. If you haven’t picked up on it by now, this is where Mr. Kinevil comes in. I took off and realized, at the base of the jump, that I had underestimated the steepness of the ramp. Once I was completely inverted(involuntarily) , I released the bike, landed on my collar bone, and then gravity did its job and brought my bike back down on me. I was dazed for a bit, but it only hurt when I tried to lift anything with my right arm. I rode it off for a bit while I got my breath back, then met back with the others.
I felt dumb for doing it and a mild pain in my right shoulder, but I wasn’t going to let that ruin our ride. We came all the way over here to do the flow trail, and there was no way I was stopping now. All in all, we rode another 7 miles or so, including the flow trail! Common sense kicked in and I decided to call it a day. I ended up with a broken collar bone and a great story. Now, as for my blog progress. I am in a sling for the next 3 weeks. Luckily, it happened right after Christmas(my busiest time) so I have only had to postpone on a few clients. That translates to no new woodworking photos as well. So, thanks to Evil Kinevil’s inspiration, and a little of my ego, I will be out of commission for a bit. I hope to have some updated projects to show as soon as I can. Thanks for readin!

Crosses 8
I hope everyone has a great Christmas! I have a few more crosses to post below. I am looking forward to the new year, as I am going to start production on building up a surplus of crosses. I have a few stores that have wanted to carry them for a while now, but I was unable to make any other than the ones I had orders for. I am going to use the post-Christmas non-shopping time to see how they do in a retail arena. Thank you for reading and, as always, please email me at adam.mihidesigns@gmail.com if you are interested in ordering or if you have any questions.
Thanks!

Crosses 7
Its been a little while since the last post. This was the first Christmas since starting Mihi Designs. I knew it would be a busy time for orders, but I think I underestimated just how much. In fact, I only put up my Christmas tree just last night(extra bad seeing how I had 7 trees up by November 1st last year). I have learned my lesson and will be sure to set up Christmas early next year, before I get the big Christmas order rush. I thank all of those who ordered and I hope the recipients love them! Anyway, here are a few of the most recently finished crosses. I’d love to know your thoughts. If you are interested in ordering, or have any questions, please email me at adam.mihidesigns@gmail.com. Thanks and Merry Christmas!

Custom Letter for Christmas
I will go ahead and apologize on the two identical pictures. For some reason, it wouldn’t allow me to add a single photo. You can pretend its one of those things where you have to find the differences in the two photos. Good luck!
I was asked to make an oversized “L” to attach to a large wreath for Christmas. This one is roughly 36″ x 20″. They wanted it red with green polka dots. I mixed a custom red(they wanted it “funky” and most of the reds I use are more muted “Kirkland-ish” shades). I went back and forth between using a stock glitter paint or mixing glitter flakes with a stock paint. I found a Martha Stewart product that was a pre-mixed limey green with glitter. The end product turned out great, but it required about 8 or 9 coats on the dots. I’d love to know your thoughts. adam.mihidesigns@gmail.com Thanks!
